The parts that make up a faceted diamond

Table  - The top flat facet that is the top of the diamond it is the largest facet of the diamond

Crown -  The upper part of the diamond which consists of the table and the angled facets below it

Girdle -  The widest part of the diamond it forms a band around the stone

Pavilion -  The bottom facets of the diamond below the girdle

Culet -  A tiny facet at the bottom a diamond newer cut diamonds have a small to very small culet of none at all

( A facet is a flat surface on a diamond the both reflects light and lets light into a diamond)
